This afternoon we picked up Aliya's new Barbie glasses. She was SOOOO excited! As soon as she put them on, she said she could see better.
Along with her glasses, she got a Barbie back bag, Barbie perfume, a Barbie eyeglass case, a wipe to clean her lenses, and glass cleaner.
As soon as we got to the car, she wanted to call everyone she knew to tell them about her exciting day. I am thrilled that she wants to wear them.
Today was a happy day.
We celebrated Niah's birthday today. All day I kept looking at her and thinking, "She's really grown up!" We spent the whole day doing birthday things and just enjoying this special day. We will be having her birthday party in a few weeks. The girls are looking forward to that!

Today the girls had a Homeschool Valentine's party. There were so many things to do! They made valentine crafts, decorated cookies and cupcakes, had their face painted, made "stain glass" cards for a science project, played games, and so much more!
We really had a great time. Before we knew it, it was already time to go home. Aliya and Kiahna were very happy because Valentine's is like having a birthday all over again!
Aunt Jessica is engaged! We had a family celebration dinner tonight to celebrate their engagement. Their wedding will be in April, and of course they are still working on all the details. I remember all the work that goes in to planning for that one special day, and then once the day gets there, it goes by fast!
This afternoon Niah gave her first book report presentation at the homeschooling book club. She did a fantastic job--and that's not just MY opinion! Many of the parents thought she had the report memorized because she sailed right through it but wasn't always looking at her paper. She also spoke clearly and loudly for all to hear. I was and am so proud of her! Good job, Niah!!!
Aliya tried to give her report, but she ended up being too shy. I walked up there with her, held open her book, and asked her questions, but she just didn't want to talk about the book. We finally declined for next time. I am very proud of my girls!

This morning we went to the Oklahoma History Museum for our school field trip. I thought that it was going to be boring, but it wasn't! The museum was really neat! Aliya was very interested in "learning" about lots of different things.
We saw a REAL astronaut space pod, an airplane, carriages, motorcycles, Indian houses, log houses, old kitchens, and many more things.
Niah and Aliya had Kiahna laughing and laughing each time they put their heads through the holes of the poster. Kiahna thought that was so funny!
We will be going again soon.
