Back to Braum's!

It's been about 2 years since our last trip to Braum's. So...it was time to go again! Some friends of ours from PE happened to mention that they would be going, and they invited us to join them.

The last time we took this tour, Isaiah was in the umbrella stroller. NOT THIS TIME!!! He was ALMOST tall enough to see through the window by himself. He is growing up too fast!

Kiahna is also growing up too fast! She was an toddler the very first Braum's tour we took. Now she is growing into a young lady!

Riding the cow bus is one of the highlights of the tour. ESPECIALLY when you get to sit in your OWN seat.

The tour ends with a special ice cream treat. I had to bring Isaiah his own homemade popsicles--ones that he could eat since he has all the diet restrictions. It's not always easy, but he does a great job, and he doesn't complain.

All in all, we had a great time! It's amazing that only 3 homeschooling families fill the capacity quota for the tour! I'm not sure when we will do this tour again. More than likely at some point in the future, we will be loading up on the cow bus once again!

Kiahna's 7th Birthday

October...the perfect time for pumpkins and the perfect time for a birthday party! On Friday, October 12th, we went to Chester's Pumpkin Patch. Gwyneth and Henry joined us for the party--Taya was having a special get-away weekend with her Dad, so she wasn't able to come this time.

We spent the day feeding the animals, riding the ponies, singing karaoke, and of course, picking out our pumpkins.

Today we continued the celebrations with another party! Since today (the 14th) is her actual birthday, we celebrated with cake and candles!

The cake this year was a special cake. We have been trying to make some special treats that work as best as possible with Isaiah's diet restrictions. Betsy has become quite the expert in GAPS cakes and treats, and Kiahna requested Aunt Betsy's special recipe!

But the REAL icing on the cake was Kiahna's gift. Kiahna had been dreaming about her very own SNOW GLOBE that played music.

She didn't just get one...she got TWO!! One was a ballerina dancer from Niah, Aliya, & Isaiah. The other was a princess bear from Daddy and Momma so that she could always remember her "Build a Bear Birthday".

Last but not least, we headed to the Build-a-Bear store in the mall. Each of the kids got to pick out their own animal. Then they got to add the stuffing, and they also got to select a special outfit.

Both Aliya and Kiahna had extra coupons that they were able to use for an extra bear. They not only got the birthday bear, but then they got to pick out another special bear as well! Aliya choose a rainbow and a snowflake bear.

Isaiah knew in the first 5 minutes that he wanted the penguin, which he called 'Eric'. He also knew right away that Eric needed a Thunder basketball jersey. Isaiah was the first one done, and with all the extra time to spare, he found ways to entertain himself!

Finally, with our new bears (or penguins!) in hand, it was time to say good-bye. After big hugs and farewells, the Yu's headed to Arkansas, and we headed back home. It's still hard for me to believe that my little baby girl is now 7 years old. The time surely is going by fast! Happy Birthday, Kiahna! I hope you always remember your 7th birthday...the birthday of the pumpkin patch, snow globes, and build-a-bears! WE LOVE YOU BUNCHES!!!

Baby Boy? Baby Girl?

We had another ultrasound today! We made it through without OFFICIALLY finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Isaiah is still convinced that it is a boy. TJ thinks it's a boy...Kiahna believes it's a girl...and the rest of us are unsure! We do know that this baby is growing well...and for that, we are so thankful.
