Look at ME, ME, ME!!!

In our house, we have this little catchy chant that we sing every time we recognize someone doing something JUST for attention. The chant sings for itself. Start slow...then just speed up--it has a natural flow. It goes something like this:

Look at me, Look at me, Look at ME ME ME
Look at me, Look at me, Look at ME ME ME
LOOK..... LOOK, LOOK at ME!!!

All that to say that the girls have been feeling a little left out lately. Isaiah has had several videos...and the girls apparently felt they needed to invent a reason to be on the blog. So...late last night, they created a masterpiece.

First Medal

Yesterday, Niah attended the Dallas Invitational with her Bible quizzing group. We were so thrilled when she came home with a 3rd place medal! Her team (4 people) placed 3rd overall in the novice division. Niah individually ranked 22 out of 50 in her division. She AND WE were thrilled! She has been practicing and practicing the past several months, and this is her award! We couldn't be more proud! Good job, Niah!

Crosby Vacation

On Wednesday, March 16, 2011, the kids and I journeyed down to Crosby, TX, for a week-long vacation. So much was packed into each day...so this will be a LONG post! The main event surrounded Lucus' birthday. He turned 1 year old on Friday...so we decided to head to the park for some play time!

Saturday was the official birthday party for Lucus. Lucus had plenty of help opening presents! Blowing bubbles was also a big birthday party hit!

Sunday was spent at the NASA Space Center in Houston. We have been studying about the solar system this year. We have heard "NASA this...and NASA that", so it was nice to see for ourselves what NASA is all about! It would have been nice to take a little trip into space, but maybe next trip. In the mean time, there was a huge play center, hands-on stations, exhibits, displays, and even a tour to the actual facilities. The kids even got to touch a moon rock!

We plan to venture back to the Crosby area next summer. Adventures await us!!!
