New Playground

For the past few weeks, we have been watching this playground being built. We love playgrounds, so having one built close by is very exciting. Today is the first day that the play ground is open for activity, so naturally we wanted to try it out. Sure enough, we love it!

We Love the Cow!

We love the Chick-Fil-A Customer Appreciation Day holiday, and WE LOVE THE COW! Isaiah gets so excited to see THE COW. This is not new information...I have already posted proof in times past...butjust so YOU know, the love has not faded.

Today we received an additional honor. THE COW actually sat with us! Can you believe it? If THE COW could write, we probably would have asked for an autograph. We discovered that THE COW has a sense of humor. THE COW kept trying to eat Isaiah's food. Of course Isaiah knew this was silly because cows don't eat Chick-Fil-A food...they eat grass!!!

We aren't sure if THE COW is her real name or a nickname because we have discovered that cows have trouble speaking English. Their grammar and spelling are awful! We would offer to tutor the cow, but somehow I don't think our living room could handle "bathroom" time!

Thanks again, Chick-Fil-A, for another great holiday!

Under the Sea

The girls...especially Kiahna...really miss ballet. What makes it worse is knowing for sure that they will not be returning in the fall. Kiahna just loves Ms. Olivia and anything ballet, so I can understand why it is so hard to let it go.

BUT today is not a day for tears! Water may be the theme, but there are no tears here! That's because today is a ONE DAY turbo event, which means FUN activities, a quick & FUN dance routine, and FUN treats! The theme is called "Under the Sea" and since it involves water, Isaiah wanted to join in for the fun as well.

Niah may have been a little older than the average student, but she still wanted to stay and "help". It's hard to grow up sometimes!

Ms. Olivia offers these turbos a few times in the summer, so we are putting it on our calendar for next year. Knowing that we have a plan to return for a turbo is comforting for Kiahna... knowing that good-bye is not FOREVER...just for a little while.

So what did I do during this time? I stopped and got a treat and enjoyed it BY MYSELF. Such a simple thing, but that is not something I get to do on a regular basis, nor is it something I get to do on an infrequent basis. I always have the kids with me or we are doing something together as a family. Honestly, that is the way I prefer it, but there are still times when it is nice to step away and just BE ME. I guess Kiahna and I both have something to look forward to next year!
