Family Day at Frontier City

We spent a few hours at Frontier City today. The girls had so much fun! Aliya and Koni canoed down the water way while TJ and Niah rode on "a big ride".

Niah and Aliya talked TJ into riding on the spinning tops. It didn't take long before TJ began regretting what he had gotten himself into! When Aliya got off the ride, she had to sit down because she wasn't feeling too great. Of course Niah had a blast and was ready to go again!

Aliya and Kiahna rode the merry-go-round. Kiahna wasn't too happy once the ride started and her horse started moving up and down. She was ready to get off and "just look". We took her back again later, and she rode one that didn't move--that was much better!

Aliya, Niah, and I waited 30 minutes to ride the rapids. Kiahna waited on the bridge with Daddy so that they could take a picture of us as we went by. Kiahna enjoyed watching all the rafts go by--I think she secretly was thankful that she was not on them!

Spaghetti Girl

The girls love to eat spaghetti! Aliya has decided that her name is "Meat Girl" since she loves meat, and Koni's name is "Noodle Girl" since she likes the noodles.

Bath time quickly follows spaghetti time--there is no other way to clean up the mess without making a bigger mess.

Singing in the Rain

Last night Aliya and Kiahna got new DORA umbrellas from Mimi. Kiahna doesn't understand what umbrellas are for--she is just happy that it's a DORA toy! She keeps saying, "Dora! Dora! Dora!"

Aliya understands that umbrellas are for the rain, so she was very happy today to discover that it was raining! It could not have been timed more perfectly. She also does not limit herself just to the rain--she still loves to play with the umbrella INSIDE! I tried to take a good picture of them together at Niah's school, but they were too excited to stop and pose for a picture.
