Fun Times!

Who needs roller coaster rides when you have Niah pushing you around in a bucket container? You could hear Gwyneth and Kiahna laughing miles away!!!

The TORMATO is Coming!

Last night we had a severe weather and tornado watch. The sirens even went off a couple of times, and so we all had to cram into the bathroom for safety purposes. The first time we had to go in there, Kiahna and Aliya were already taking a bath. Later on we had to return back to the bathroom for another storm that was passing through. THIS time, however, Aunt Betsy put some pillows and blankets in the tub so the girls would have a place to sit, lay, or play. They thought it was great, and it also helped to make the time go by faster. Betsy also had a radio with music and some snacks--she is always thinking of cute and fun things like that!

The girls had a hard time pronouncing the word "tornado". They went back and forth between "tomato" and "TORMato". By the end of the evening, they narrowed it down to "TORMato".

It's a Party!

The girls and I extended our stay in Arkansas so that we could attend Gwyneth's 1st birthday party. When I first told Aliya that we would be staying for the party, she said "THANK YOU, MOM!!!" Who could resist that?!!

Kiahna was very excited yesterday when we began making the birthday cake and cupcakes. She had trouble going to bed that night (she was sure we were going to eat them all without her) and even woke up twice asking for "bird-day cake".
