Several time during the day, I glance out the window and this is what I see...
When the weather is cool, I open up the window and let the fresh air blow in. In the morning all I hear are the sounds of the "farm" (that's what Aliya calls it)--there's no train whistles, cars or semi's, planes, or people.

Kiahna turned 2 1/2 yrs old on Monday, April 14, 2008. Niah and Aliya also had their ears pierced at this age. We had been asking Kiahna if she wanted earrings, and of course she said "SURE!" Had she known what all was involved, she probably would have said, "NOOOOO!"
It didn't take her long to realize that this was no longer a fun adventure. She cried for about 5 minutes, and then it was all better.
After we got her ears pierced, we had her pictures taken. Kiahna is not a baby anymore. She is a big girl now, and she knows she is a princess!

Aliya started wearing her patch this past Sunday. When I bought the patches, I also bought some Barbie and heart stickers so that she could decorate her patch before wearing it. She really hated wearing the patch at first (because it makes her depend on her blurry eye for vision), but now she really enjoys picking her stickers out that she wants to wear that day.
It's only been a few days, but she is getting used to it and doesn't mind wearing it as much anymore. I thought maybe at first she would want to go with the pirate theme, but nope--it's all about the sparkles!
